On October 27, it was held by Mario Mitrotti — with a long career as Director and Producer of Films, Television and Theater; President of ADAL (Alliance of Latin American Audiovisual Directors) and President of DASC (Colombian Society of Audiovisual Directors) — a lecture entitled “Protect your works with copyright” in the city of Panama, with a large participation of local audiovisual authors.

At the headquarters of the multipurpose studio of the GECU University Film Experimental Group and with a large group of directors and screenwriters from Panama of film, television and theater, Mario Mitrotti has delivered an excellent speech on the importance of the formation of a management society which protects the copyright of the Panamanian creators and the experience in countries such as Colombia, Argentina, Chile, Brazil and those international organizations founded and integrated by authors from all over the world who fight for the rights of creators worldwide as Writers and Directors Worldwide W&DW and the International Council of Dramatic, Audiovisual and Literary Creators.

The authors who attended the talk had a rich exchange of experiences not only with their speaker, Mario Mitrotti and his experience in the formation of the management society that today represents all the Colombian creators in their territory and throughout the world, but with the current presidency of the Latin American Alliance of Directors and their participation in international congresses and entities that provide technical and financial assistance to emerging societies.

Among the audience present there were renowned authors such as the Cinematographic Director, Ricardo Aguilar; the president of the Image and Sound Center (CIMAS) and writer, Edgar Soberón Torchia; the president of the Network of Audiovisual Creators of Panama REDCREA, Enrique Perez Him; and the former president of the Panamanian Copyright Institute (IPADEA), the Licentiate Eduardo Benitez; among other outstanding professionals.

The Latin American alliances ADAL (Alliance of Latin American Audiovisual Directors) and ALGyD(Latin American Alliance of Writers and Playwrights), have as their first objective the technical and financial assistance to those Latin American societies of audiovisual creators in formation.

The region has become very strong in recent years, not only at an international level, but also because of the large number of societies created and which today successfully represent their authors in their territories, with agreements of reciprocity with societies from all over the world, generating distribution of economic resources for the creators of audiovisual works.
